Chokyi Nyima

Chokyi Nyima entered Rumtek monastary in 1959, at the age of eight. He received teachings from the Sixteenth Karmapa, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, and his father, Tulku Urgyen. Today Chokyi Nyima is a highly respected dharma teacher with many Tibetan and Western students.

Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche was a Tibetan incarnate lama who understood the Western mind. Through the years, I have appreciated the many teachings that he imparted. The students of Rinpoche, whom I have met, are unshakably dedicated to the Buddhadharma. I rejoice in this.
