Maitri Bhavana

Approximately twice a month we include individuals who are critically ill in our Maitri Bhavana practice. This loving kindness practice expresses our willingness let go of our personal space, share in the suffering of others and provide them with support. To explicitly include a friend or relative in the next Maitri Bhavana session, send an email to the address below, naming the individual and their illness. If possible, include a picture.

How to Join a Practice Session

  1. If you are new to Ocean online practice, test to see if you can enter the Ocean Shrine Room before the session starts. (If you are having problems call our tech support volunteer at 617-852-3260 or email at chroniclestchspprt@gmail.com.)
  2. Simply click on the provided link for the practice session
  3. Download and install the Zoom browser plug-in
  4. After a 10-20 sec delay you should automatically enter the Zoom video conferencing "Shrine Room"
  5. Try the various controls so you can learn how they work. Make sure your audio and video are working as expected. Change their settings ("^") if necessary.
  6. The practice liturgies will be scrolled on the screen by your host.

We look forward to practicing with you soon!
