Donna became a close friend soon after arriving in Boulder in 1976 to join David. She was organized and accomplished and could hold her own in those many intimidating environments. Her intelligence was adamantine, her laugh hearty, and her devotion complete and wholehearted. Her energy was strong, and she showed up to everything, unflappable and razor sharp. She was truly kind and generous, even while highly critical. She was a completely devoted mother, and it was delightful to hear and see Phil's appreciation of her at the funeral ceremony. In my mind's eye, she'll move onwards right into the center of the guru's heart.
