I took a couple of Naropa quarter semesters of Tibetan circa 1976. The second was with Michael. His insights into the language flows stay with me more than technical details. At this point my practice is mostly in Tibetan. On reflection I think Michael Levin's comments at that time had been quite helpful. Computer Science was guaranteed livelihood in those days. I envied that. But now, reading these tributes, I appreciate that CS was for him a wisdom pathway. In his unusually appropriate circuitous ways Michael conveyed Tibetan to be a language source of dharma in its own right, though it was probably only a small aspect of his path. May the this continuing journey lead to enlightenment. ན་མོ་ཨ་མི་ཏཱ་བྷྱཱ་ཧྲི༔
