Having spent close to 30 years in and out of Japan, I included many visits to Jack’s beautiful teahouse in Kyoto. A wonderful gathering place of local and international practitioners. Jack had an engaging style that included everyone young and old, he traveled too. We spent long hours drinking superb sake and talking of the practice and teachings, and practiced together too. Often he was demanding, however he touched many with his respect of the Chado discipline. That will be his legacy.please see here the meticulous Chado environment he and his lovely wife, Hiromi san, created.
