Dear Jack,
The tea ceremony that you and Hiromi offered to a group of students more than 25 years ago, together with your extensive explanation of the meaning of Chado, in the garden, has left an indelible impression on me.
Years later, I was fortunate enough to be personally served tea by one of your students. That experience also made a deep impression on me.
Since then, I have not met anyone who could share and transmit Chado with quite the same warmth and passion as you did.
Thank you, Jack, for these special memories and for everything you passed on to others.
May you have a peaceful journey onward and rest in peace, dear Jack.
