Dear Friends,
I am passing along a letter sent by Hiromi, Jack's wife.
Dearest Friends ,
Please forgive my long silence.
Jack Convery passed away late at night on October 16, Japan time. I believe his passing was relatively peaceful and without pain. He remained strong and composed until that morning. He described the last blue sky he saw as very beautiful, and then he himself disappeared into the sky.
Since September, none of the medications had been effective, and Jack made his own decision to receive care at home. I believe he had already come to terms with his approaching death and was slowly preparing for his final days.
I told him that although his container was breaking down, the flower of his heart would live on forever, KOKORO NO HANA full blooming. He agreed with me.
He was Genuine warrior, fearless rider.
He always prayed for world peace. He was an extraordinary teacher, with deep insight and a remarkable ability to draw people to him. Through the Way of Tea, he taught us the importance of awareness.
His powerful and passionate teachings will remain deeply engraved in each and every one of your hearts.
Thank you all so much for walking the path of peace together with Jack.
Good dharma of liberation lives on forever.
May the light of compassion and wisdom reach all living beings, together with our great teacher Trungpa Rinpoche.
Today will be my peaceful day !
KIKI SOSO ASHE !!!
Thank you very very much!!!
With all my love,
Hiromi Convery Masui
