I just now read that John died. A strong and gentle person to all. In November of 1977 I walked into the Berkeley Dharmadhatu for the very first time. It was John who met me and introduced me to the Center and what it was all about. Through the years when we would met here and there he was always kind and shared that shy smile with me. Truly a dharma brother...
