The last time I saw Lady Diana was at DDL at her departure from the 2016 Warrior Assembly. Simply all put together, her sparkling friendly elegance, waving good bye as she leaves in a beautiful shiny black car.
It has taken me too long to feel I could let go and write something acknowledging her final departure.
Polishing her riding boots, doing laundry, watching a movie with her; so much good fortune and many moments to treasure. I cannot thank you enough.
Belatedly but fully my heart goes out to Dr. Levy, Taggie,
Gesar (MIA of course!) Ashoka, David and Chandali.
I will always remember hearing you before I ever saw you. The sound of your walk, shoes on, somewhere at Karme Choling. Ah! This is not someone who is affraid…
Not a wispy waife…who is this? I can’t wait to meet you.
Again and again, if my luck continues and I have any say in the matter.
Though the world seem to head to h—-in a handbasket,
As I wrote in my final letter to you, “ Rest well,
we got this.”
