I'm just learning of Tomek's passing today, July 12, 2025. What a phenomenon he was! Witnessing his first exchanges with Trungpa Rinpoche at the 1978 Vajradhatu Seminary was a privilege -- the magic in the room was palpable, as Rinpoche loved to tease maybe torture his new, fearless Polish sparring partner. A dim memory is of Rinpoche giving Tomek either his Refuge or his Bodhisattva name -- maybe both. Hopefully someone who remembers the names will post them here -- perhaps Chandali? My heart and warmest love goes out to Chandali at this time of painful transition in her life. I would love to hear from her, as she has time or energy.
