When I first met Seonaidh Perks, I was a lost ex Zen Buddhist monastic. He offered me tea with whiskey and a smile. Then he offered me work and a room. He taught by example. And his example was always joyfulness and love. His spirit was playful, creative, fierce and fearless, and it seemed he always had one foot on human ground and one foot in the fairie realms. In all my journeys, I have never met someone who embodied joy and love like Seonaidh did. I have never met anyone who embraced life as fully as Seonaidh did. Seonaidh said the greatest thing we can ever do is to be of service. It is my hope that myself, and all who have been touched by his spirit, honor him by embodying and passing on all of the teachings, love and laughter that he gave so freely to us. Seonaidh, my hero. Though your passing has left my heart in pain, I salute and toast you, mo ghile mear!
