Polly was a friend and guiding spirit when I first started practicing at Pioneer Valley Dharmadhatu in Northampton MA in the mid-1980's. She was gentle, humorous, and tough! Years later, I visited her in Cape Breton, where she was fully ensconced in her local and Dharma communities, and thoroughly enjoying her life. I didn't see her much after that, though we kept in touch sometimes by email. I still think of her, and remember her generosity and laughter!
