I attended 1980 Seminary at Lake Louise. Thrangu Rinpoche visited - I believe it might have been his first formal encounter with VCTR's students - and after his talk he encouraged questions. A practitioner who invariably, after every talk raised his hand, predictably immediately did so. Rinpoche looked at him, paused, and then suggested (said) that it would be best if the student simply listened. There was no further exchange between them.
