Ruth, We lived in Coburg House for a number of years. Ruth was my friend. Our love of Nova Scotia, and how the world worked sometimes the beginning of long conversations. Our love for the Enlightened teachers of our lineages. Her commitment to the sangha. Her love for her daughter.. We shared many conversations on how the physical worked, Asking Ruth why the sky happened to be blue, where rain storms came from -was a lead in to an hour long instruction on things "how things worked" Her knowledge of Mi'kmaq, & black history and the "underground Railroad" and her writings on those - was sometimes heart-wrenching. Adopted by a Mi'kmaq family, loved by the sangha. I will miss you Ruth. May your rebirth be auspicious & filled with the dharma. Ani Cho.
