Sherab's strong and warm presence, and his wakeful humor convinced me to investigate the path of buddhism in the early days in Amsterdam, and continue later on in Marburg. I came to know him as a man who wasn't too big to laugh about himself or drop his pre-conceptions on the spot. It was an honour to have known him.
