Priscilla took care of others. I got to know her over the 3+ years we partnered in caring for a mutual friend. Priscilla went above and beyond helping this friend stay in his home as long as possible. Her dedication was impressive and inspiring. It was a daily (sometimes 2-3x a day) task for her — and was difficult at times — but she took her responsibility seriously and would have never thought to abandon him.
Priscilla had a sharp sense of humor. She could be caring, funny, or critical—you never knew what to expect with her, and she kept me on my toes!
I recently learned of a mantra that Priscilla was particularly fond of, and I think this section is so appropriate for her:
“Until the suffering of the three worlds is completely exhausted, I will courageously dedicate myself to the welfare of others.”
