The Vajra Regent Osel Tendzin was born in Passaic, New Jersey, in 1943. Initially a student of Swami Satchidananda, he met the Vidyadhara in 1971 in Boulder, Colorado. His formal empowerment as Vajra Regent took place on August 22, 1976. The Vajra Regent passed away on August 25, 1990. He is survived by his wife, Lila Rich, and their four children.
